Monticello is an amazing estate. Saturated in history, there are many words to describe this piece of American history. There really isn’t anything I could say that hasn’t been said already so I would rather show it in photos. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a US National Register of Historic Places Site, and a US National Historic Landmark, Monticello gives us a peek into the life of the third President of the United States and others in the late 1700’s to early 1800’s. The house, also called Monticello, is an architecturally unique home, with many unusual features. The grounds are spectacular and his vegetable garden is like no other! Perched atop a mountain, the view is amazing and you can see rolling hills for miles. It was love at first sight! I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
