Hi Y’all! I’m starting a monthly photo bucket to share some of my photos. Some of the photos are of places I didn’t blog about for whatever reason or didn’t make the cut in a blog post. Others are photos I found unusual or interesting from beautiful places in my travels. Some photos are of fantastic food I’ve eaten & I want to share it with you!

The Candy Factory

April was a busy month beginning with visiting Lexington, the barbecue capitol of NC, to eat some barbecue and stroll around the town. That’s where I spied the Lexington Painted Pigs around town and ended up in the old-time candy store to get my sweet fix.

I also zipped over to Charlotte for a Jimmy Buffett concert (everyone has to see him at least once) and some urban exploring. The Queen City is pretty spectacular.

I even squeezed in a macaron class and a croissant class at Sur la Table. Yes, I made these!

    • Hi Dayngr!

I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I was having technical difficulties with my site. Macarons are not difficult, but they are a bit involved. It’s not something you whip up in a minute. They do freeze well though, so once you decide to take the plunge, you can freeze them. Sur la Table has a good class on all the in and outs. I’ve taken quite a few classes with them and enjoy them a lot.

    • Hi Sarah!

Thank you! Charlotte is so full of interesting art, parks, restaurants, & people. I love the city! I have a few posts of or related to Charlotte on my blog. I hope you get a chance to take a peek!
