Eataly. Eat and Italy, two of my favorite things. Ummm, yes. Yes, I will partake in your foodstuffs, thank you very much! What is Eataly? It’s part Italian market, part restaurant, part classroom all jammed into 63,000 square feet of food space. In short, it’s everything related to eating and Italian food. And yes, you will love it.

So much pasta…

Am I in heaven? Surrounded by all this food, it sure feels like heaven…

So much bread...

So much bread…

How was I to resist? I didn’t. The Agnolotti del Plin (meat-filled pasta with garlic scape butter and breadcrumbs) was slightly chewy in a light, buttery sauce with a slight crunch from the breadcrumbs. Absolutely divine!

Why stop there? My favorite thing about Italy was the meat and cheese plates… Well, maybe not my favorite thing, but the meat and cheese was near the top.

And you can’t leave without trying one of their tantalizing desserts. In my case it was a chocolatey, citrusy pistachio spongecake smothered in chocolate. ‘Nuff said.
